How Did You Die?

I wanted to share this poem because it has gotten me through a lot of hard times, and I feel that it could help serve to inspire others as well. It's 'How Did You Die' by Edmund Vance Cook and it is my all-time, hands down favorite.

Did you tackle that trouble that came your way

With a resolute heart and cheerful?

Or hide your face from the light of day

With a craven soul and fearful?

Oh, a trouble’s a ton, or a trouble’s an ounce,

Or a trouble is what you make it.

And it isn’t the fact that you’re hurt that counts,

But only how did you take it?

You are beaten to earth? Well, well, what’s that?

Come up with a smiling face.

It’s nothing against you to fall down flat,

But to lie there -- that’s disgrace.

The harder you’re thrown, why the higher you bounce;

Be proud of your blackened eye!

It isn’t the fact that you’re licked that counts;

It’s how did you fight and why?

And though you be done to death, what then?

If you battled the best you could;

If you played your part in the world of men,

Why, the Critic will call it good.

Death comes with a crawl, or comes with a pounce,

And whether he’s slow or spry,

It isn’t the fact that you’re dead that counts,

But only, how did you die?

Energy Medicine

This is a topic that will be greatly discussed in the future, and I was able to find a video that explains how energy medicine works. This is an excellent system and I know that it will be able to help so many with all of their health issues. This is a wonderful video and most informative.

Great Morning Breakfast

I was experimenting with breakfast this morning and I found something that I think others would enjoy. It's just a simple bowl of cereal, but it is healthy, tasty, and filling all at the same time; something I don't usually get out of cereal.
I poured a bowl of bite size shredded wheat then added vanilla flavored soy milk (regular soy milk tastes just as good) then I added a little bit of honey and heated it up for about 1 minute...tastes wonderful! It's nonfat, no sodium, low sugar, high fiber, great source of nutrients, and it fills you up. Add some berries, granola, or crushed almonds for added flavor and nutrients. I can't remember the last time I was this excited over breakfast cereal. Enjoy!
